2026 Summer Coaching Staff
Tyler Martin is joining us for his 2nd season as Head Coach with Lake Forest. He is also the Head Coach for the East Forsyth High School swim team. Tyler previously coached for North Forsyth High School as well. Tyler is looking forward to a fun season, and even more so this year because his children will be swimming for our Lightning family as well!
Trey is returning for his 15th season as a part of the Lake Forest Lightning organization. Trey swam for Lake Forest Lightning for 10 years. In high school Trey swam for North Forsyth High School, where he specialized in the backstroke. Trey also swam for Chattahoochee Gold for 9 years. Trey is currently a student at the University of Georgia - GO DAWGS! We're excited to have Trey join us again as an integral part of our coaching staff and program!
We are honored and excited to announce that coach Gabby Ramey will be returning as a Senior Coach for the 2026 summer swim season. Gabby has been a beloved part of the Lake Forest family longer than most, over 13 years!! She has coached for Lake Forest for 4 years, and she also swam for the East Forsyth Broncos for all 4 years of high school. Gabby is also a leader away from the pool, serving in many leadership capacities throughout high school and currently serving as the freshman director for her sorority at the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!). Gabby looks forward to returning this summer and seeing all of her swimmers and meeting her new 9/10 year olds. Go Lightning!!
We are excited to announce that Adelyn Thomas will be returning to our coaching staff for the summer season. Adelyn is a student at North Forsyth High School, where she swims, runs track and cross country. Adelyn has qualified for state in swim every year she has been at North. She is also involved in many clubs at her school. With over 10 years of swim experience and experience as a swim instructor, Lake Forest is lucky to have her. Adelyn is excited for another fun season. Go Lightning!
We are excited to announce that coach Jackson Sawyer is returning as a senior coach for the 2026 summer swim season. Jackson is currently a senior at East Forsyth High School and has swam with them for the past 4 years and has been a part of the Lake Forest family since he was 7 years old. Jackson is a natural leader and has been a coach with Lake Forest since he was 15. He is also a swim instructor at the Cumming Aquatic Center. Outside of swim, Jackson has been a small group leader at his church for 3 years. Jackson is excited for another fun year with his 7/8 year old swimmers! Go Lightning!
We are excited to announce that coach Sam Hutcheson is returning to coach for the 2026 summer swim season. Sam has been on the Lake Forest coach staff for 2 years and is excited to be returning for her 3rd season. Sam swam for the East Forsyth Broncos for 3 years in high school and was a captain on the team as well. Sam has held many leadership positions, such as working as a local swim instructor, serving in her church, and going on mission trips. Sam is currently a student at University of Georgia, where she is in a sorority. Sam is excited for a fun season!
We are excited to announce that coach Fay McCurley will be returning to coach for the 2026 season. Fay is currently a student at North Forsyth High School, where she swims for the swim team, is a Raider Commander, and is in FCA leadership. Fay has been a part of Lake Forest Lightning for over 10 years, and she is about to enter her 6th year of coaching. Fay's sweet spirit and love for children make her the sweetest coach of our 6 and under age group. Fay is also involved in her church, where she leads worship for elementary aged students. Fay is looking forward to another fun season with Lake Forest! Go Lightning!!
We are excited to announce that Sophia Landis is returning to coach our 6 and under swimmers this season. Sophia is currently a student at Georgia Tech, but she is a "lifer" at Lake Forest. She has been a part of our Lake Forest family for over 14 years, coaching for 5 of those years. Sophia attended North Forsyth High School, where she swam all 4 years. Currently, Sophia is in leadership in her sorority, and she tutors high school students. Sophia is excited to come home and have a great season with her 6 and under swimmers. Go LIGHTNING!
We are excited to announce that Coach Sophia Wingate is returning for her 3rd year as a coach, but this year she will coach as a Senior coach for our Sparks (minis) program. Sophia is currently a student at Alliance Academy. Her swim experience includes swimming for the Cumming Waves, Chattahoochee Gold, North Forsyth High School, and she has also swam with Lake Forest Lightning for 8 years. Sophia is involved in many clubs at school and also serves in Waumba Land at her church. Sophia is a natural leader, and our Sparks swimmers all love her. A fun fact about Sophia is that she loves to bake. Sophia looks forward to a fun swim season!
We are excited to announce a new addition to our senior coaching staff, Sabrina Rinaldi. Sabrina is currently a student at North Forsyth High School, where she swims and is involved in other clubs at school. She also swims for Chattahoochee Gold. Sabrina works as a lifeguard at the Cumming Aquatic Center and also gives swim lessons. Sabrina volunteers at her church as well. She is excited to coach this summer. Go Lightning!
We are excited to announce that coach Dylan Brooks will be returning for his third year as a junior coach. Dylan is currently a student at North Forsyth High School, where he swims for the swim team. Dylan has been swimming for 10 years and has swam as a club swimmer. Dylan is a natural leader and is well loved by all our younger swimmers, especially the boys. Dylan is excited to be part of the Lake Forest family again this summer. Go Lightning!
We are excited to announce that Paislee Otwell is joining us to coach again for another season. Paislee is involved in many activities at her school. She cheers, plays basketball, and plays soccer. Paislee has also swam for North Forsyth High School's feeder program for 2 years. Paislee is involved in her church where she serves in the Kindergarten class. Paislee has been a part of the Lake Forest family for over 5 years. Paislee loves working with children and is excited to return this season to work with our younger swimmers. Go LIGHTNING!
We are excited to announce that Maggie McCurley is returning as a junior coach this season. Maggie has swam for the junior Raiders for 2 years and has been a part of the Lake Forest family for 10 years. Maggie is also involved in musical theater at her school, where she has been in many productions including Newsies, Matilda, and Shrek. Maggie is also involved in her church. She looks forward to a fun season! GO Lightning!

Graham has been a part of the Lake Forest family for 8 years, and he has also been a club swimmer with Chattahoochee Gold for 5 years. Graham is involved as an FCA leader at his school. We are excited to announce that Aidan Parks is joining our coaching staff for this season. Aidan is currently a student at North Forsyth High School, where he swims and plays basketball. Aidan has been swimming as a part of the Lake Forest family for 10 years. He is excited for a fun first season as a junior coach. Go Lightning!
We are excited to announce that Georgia Galt will be returning to junior coach again this summer. Georgia is a student at North Forsyth High School, where she also swims. She has been swimming for Lake Forest for over 10 years. Georgia is also a level 7 gymnast at Fusion Gymnastics, where she has been training for 6 years. She is also works as a referee for youth soccer and volunteers at her gym as youth coach. Georgia is excited to return as a coach this season! Go Lightning!!
We are excited to announce that Thatcher Wiegand is returning to coach for the 2026 summer season. Thatcher is currently a student at North Forsyth High School, where he plays football and swims. He also enjoys golf and track. Thatcher also helps at his church. Thatcher has been a part of the Lake Forest Family for over 8 years and has coached for 2 years at Lake Forest. Thatcher is hard working and is a favorite among our young swimmers. He looks forward to a fun season! Go Lightning!
We are excited to announce that Austin Carey is joining us to coach for another season. Austin is currently a student at North Forsyth High School, where he runs track, cross country, and swims. Austin is also active in FCA as a leader, active in DECA, and part of the Beta Club. He has been a part of Lake Forest Lightning for over 10 years and will be returning to coach for his 2nd year. Austin's friendly and outgoing personality makes him well loved by all of our swimmers, especially the boys. Austin is excited for a fun season. Go LIGHTNING!
