Our Mission
Welcome to the Lake Forest Lightning Swim Team! The Lake Forest Lightning is a summer league swim team with approximately 150 swimmers out of the Lake Forest subdivision and the surrounding area. Our swim team began in 2006 with the purpose of providing a competitive recreational swim program for our members. Our program values: individual swimmer development, team spirit, team commitment and family involvement.
We offer our swimmers the opportunity to challenge themselves, learn and think in a positive manner and be part of a team that enjoys the experience of friendly competition and good sportsmanship. The swim team is committed to a structured yet fun-oriented program that provides swimmers of all levels and abilities the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential and compete at the highest level.
It is summer, so fun is an important part of the season. We hope that every swimmer and family that joins our team develops life-long friendships. Our vision is that practices and meets have an element of fun. That social functions give swimmers and families a chance to get to know each other. We are a little team with a big heart.
