Good evening Lightning families!

I have attached our practice schedule flyer to this email. Also, we wanted to share some important upcoming dates with you:

1. We are so excited to announce that Laredos Taqueria in Publix at Matt Town Center shopping center has agreed to support our team by hosting a spirit night on Thursday, May 11 from 5-9 pm. If you dine in or carry out with Laredos that night and mention our name, our swim team will get 10% of their proceeds. So please make sure to mention our team! Thanks Laredos! (Flyer attached)

2. Our swimsuit fitting night is rapidly approaching. If your swimmer needs to try on a suit, we will be set up in the lower level of the Lake Forest clubhouse across from the pool entrance from 6-8 pm this Thursday, May 4.

3. Please add swim team picture day to your calendar. We will have our swim team pictures on Thursday, May 18 at 5:15 pm. Please arrive at 5:15 promptly.  We will have the group picture at 5:30. We will begin setting up at 5:15. If you would like individual/sibling pictures, those will be after the group picture. 

4. Sparks do not start practice until the morning practices start. However, if you have a swimmer that you are unsure if they need to be in sparks or our competitive 6 and under team, our coaches will have evaluations the first week of afternoon practice for 6 and under swimmers to determine correct placement. If your child can swim across the pool, they need to be on our competitive team. If you have any questions about this, please email us!

5. Lastly, at our parent meeting, we always hold our raffles. Our three raffles at the parent meeting will be: 4 prime seats on the island for home meets, parking spot, and get out of volunteering. One winner will be chosen for each of the categories at the conclusion of the parent meeting. 

If you would like to pre-purchase tickets for the raffles, the parking spot and prime seats on the island are $5, and the get out of volunteering pass raffle tickets will be $10. You can venmo the swim team @lflswimteam. Please put in the comment section which raffle you are buying tickets for and how many tickets.
