Happy Friday Lightning Families!

Thank you so much to all of our volunteers last night, especially those that worked extra shifts to help make sure we had all our slots covered. We have the very best families, and we are so thankful for you all! Last night’s meet was a little bit of chaos, but I’m excited to report that our unofficial score (the one that’s accurate anyway) from our meet last night was:

Some important things for next week:

1.Our last regular season meet is Tuesday, June 27 at Fieldstone. Since our meet is Tuesday, please make sure your swimmers are declared as “attending” or “not attending” by Saturday at 5 PM. Our theme for this meet is Western themed. We have ordered tattoos for the kids.

2.If your swimmer is planning to swim in the county meet, practices will be held Wednesday and Thursday morning next week. Please make sure you attend these practices if possible. ASA officials are being more strict during our meets and are disqualifying swimmers, even in the 6 and under age group. We need to make sure we are getting practices in with these DQ issues. Schedule is as follows:

a.6 and under: 9:00-9:30

b.7-8: 9:30-10:00

c.9-10: 10:00-10:30

d.11 and up: 10:30-11:00

3.I will send out more details regarding our meet at Fieldstone on Monday. Just to prepare you, Fieldstone absorbed many of the Polo team swimmers after Polo decided not to have a swim team this year. The last I heard, Fieldstone has over 300 swimmers. This is the largest team in our area. For this reason, they do their concession stand a little differently. They require pre-orders. Please see below from their concessions coordinator.

We are preparing for our upcoming meet for June 27th. We will be using the Shopify platform to pre-order food and pay in advance.

A few tips-

- Pickup Food - 4:45- 5:15 pm ( pre-orders)

-The website is set up with all three home meets, but you will only be able to order for LF- Lake Forest.

-The link will close on Monday at 5pm. We will have just a small amount of food available for those that did not pre-order. However, that will not be sold until most of the pre-orders are picked up. PLEASE order ahead.

Meet Menu-

Pre-orders- Chick- fil- A Sandwich and 5 count nuggets

Whole and sliced pizza from Village Italian in Vickery Village

Other menu items- Watermelon slices, lots of candy, chips, drinks – Prices vary from $1.00-$2.00

We will have extra pizza throughout the meet but we cannot guarantee Chick-fil-a so it is best to pre-order these items.

Payment Methods-

We will accept cash and credit card via Square. No Venmo.

Our goal is to streamline the pickup order process by checking your name off of an excel spreadsheet printed from Shopify. We should have two people verifying payments and multiple people handing out food and accepting cash and card for drinks and other food items. But, please bear with us. We will try to keep the lines moving as fast as possible. There will be plenty of signage to help you through this process.
