Lake Forest at Fieldstone AWAY Meet - Tuesday
Hi there!
Our meet this week is an AWAY meet at Fieldstone! Fieldstone will be the largest team we have swam to date, at over 300 swimmers. Please be patient with us during the meet. We have been told they still finish at a decent time. It is also helpful that they have 8 lanes in their pool, instead of the standard 6. One other important thing to note is that all bullpens will be outside their pool gate, where swimmers and bullpen workers won’t be able to see or hear the event numbers. Bullpen workers, please make sure you keep up with event numbers so our swimmers won’t miss their races.
Here is some information that Fieldstone sent to us:
1.Address for Fieldstone pool:
3350 Elder Field Lane
Cumming, GA 30040
2.Concessions: The concessions will be doing
pre-sales for pizza, Chick-Fil-A
Pre-sale
link for chick fil a and pizza: https://fieldstonefins.
3. Parking: The pool parking is large, however, any overflow parking should be along Elder Field Lane. Please do not park on Pond Gap Lane as it is a cul de sac and cars get stuck with a lot of traffic. (it is the first street past the parking lot). They do try to have a one way traffic flow through the parking lot to help keep all cars on the same path. Even though the parking lot is large, we do encourage carpooling if possible. (see map attached)
4.Arrival time: Our meet officially starts at 5:30. We are asking all swimmers to arrive by 4:00. This will give us enough time to make sure all swimmers are correctly marked with Event, Heat, Lane, Stroke. Our warmup time is 4:30.
5.Sparks: Our sparks swimmers will have their mini meet at 5:10 with the other team’s mini swimmers.
6.Bullpens: We take pop-up tents for our bullpens at away meets. If you signed up for first shift bullpen worker, please arrive at 4:00 to assist the coaches with marking arms.
7.Theme: Remember, our theme for this week is western wear.
8.Weather: Hopefully the weather will cooperate this week, but they do not have indoor shelter down at the pool. In case of inclement weather, families need to wait in their cars.
Let us know if you have any questions!
Go LIGHNTING!
Sincerely,
Heather Otwell
