Dear Lake Forest families!

Welcome to the 2024 swim season! Please make sure you read this email in its entirety, as there will be lots of important information included.

We are excited to see lots of returning families and new families as well. We are so excited to have expanded our coaching staff. For those of you returning, Bella Landis will be our Head Coach for this season, and Trey Jackson will be our Assistant coach. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for coach spotlights leading up to our season.

1. We will have an informational parent meeting on Monday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. It’s important that at least one parent attend this meeting, especially if you are new to swimming with Lake Forest. See the attached flier for more information. Raffle information included on the flier. We hope to have all spirit wear and team shirts available by the parent meeting. You will receive your swim cap prior to the first meet.

2. We are partnering with Lanier Goods again this year for our team shirts and spirit wear store. Your swimmer will receive a team t-shirt in light blue this year. Please take a look at the Spirit Wear store this year, as we have added lots of fun, new designs. Lanier Goods gives a portion of proceeds from our spirit wear store back to our team each year. If you are interested in purchasing spirit wear, please order at THIS LINK. The deadline for ordering is April 21 at 11:59 p.m. If you select pickup instead of shipping, we will pick up your order and deliver at the parent meeting.

3. We will be using the same swimsuits that we used last season, the royal blue ones. Go ahead and try on your swimsuits and jammers from last season to see if they fit. Click this link to shop for suits: SHOP SWIMSUITS HERE We will be holding a swimsuit try-on night on Thursday, May 9 time TBD.

4. Our first practice will be on Monday, May 13. Please see the summer schedule below and on our Facebook page for your child’s practice time.

5. We will be having team pictures on Tuesday, May 14. More details coming soon!

6. Similar to last year, we would love to take a large team again to the ASA County Championship meet at the Georgia Tech pool again this year. This year’s ASA Championship will be on Friday, June 28 at 9:30 a.m. More information to come on this meet, but please be thinking about joining us. We are so proud of our team and the success we’ve had at previous years meets. We placed 6th out of 19 teams last year! Go Lightning!

7. I am copying and pasting our swim team schedule into the body of the email, but I am also attaching it to this email. Notice that we have 3 home meets this year, and we have 2 away meets.
