Good evening Lightning families,

A few important things to note as we head into our 2nd week of morning practice:

1. If you have not done so already, please go ahead and declare your swimmer as attending/not attending for this Thursday's meet in the Swimtopia app. This week's meet is AWAY at Saint Marlo. If you are a Sparks swimmer, I am unsure yet if they have a minis team and will allow us to bring our Sparks swimmers. I will let you know as soon as I hear from them.

2. Our first meet of the season was a fun one to experience. While we came up a little short of victory, we did learn a lot this week! I loved watching new and experienced swimmers alike dig deep and complete difficult races. I am so proud of each and every swimmer! Final score - Aberdeen: 428, Lake Forest: 359

3. A couple of things to note about volunteer shifts: 1. If you are a Shift B timer, please do not leave your timing post at the completion of the meet until our master recorder has recorded the time from the last race. Unfortunately, several timers left when the last race concluded, and I have no times for the last race, meaning I had to rely on place judges. 2. If you are a bullpen parent during shift B, please have your swimmers start cleaning up bullpens before they leave. We had lots of trash and items left behind to clean up after everyone had left. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
