Good evening Lightning families!

I have a couple of announcements for this week, and below the announcements, you will find the information regarding our AWAY meet at Windermere.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. We have our 2nd Spirit night of the season on Tuesday (tomorrow 6/3) at Palapas in the Wal-Mart shopping center on 369. Celebrate Taco Tuesday with us from 4-9 PM, and make sure you mention you are there for the Lake Forest swim team. This applies to all dine-in and carry out orders.

2. Picture packages will be available for pickup during Wednesday morning practice. Please make sure to stop by the table to pick up your pictures.

3. Please talk with your children about staying in their bullpen during the meet. Many of our bullpen workers had to look for swimmers around the pool last week. Please make sure your swimmer stays in their bullpen, and if they have to leave for any reason, please make sure their bullpen worker knows.

Now, onto the meet information this week.

1. Address for Windermere pool:

4444 Front Nine Drive, Cumming, GA 30041

2. Parking: Their clubhouse parking is large, however, any overflow parking should be at the small strip center across from Front Nine Drive. *Their golf club is next door to the pool, however, they do not want us utilizing any of their parking.

3.Arrival time: Our meet officially starts at 5:30. We are asking all swimmers to arrive by 4:15 at the latest. This will give us enough time to make sure all swimmers are correctly marked with Event, Heat, Lane, Stroke. Our warmup time begins promptly at 4:45.

4.Sparks: Windermere also has a minis team that will swim at 5:15, so our Sparks will swim with them. Sparks families, please arrive by 5:00 at the latest for the 5:15 mini-meet.

5.Bullpens: We take pop-up tents for our bullpens at away meets. Please look for your coach when you arrive. Bullpen workers, please arrive no later than 4:15 to help mark arms in your bullpen.

6.Timers: Please listen out for an announcement for a timer meeting once you arrive.

7.Concessions: They have concessions for sale: cash and credit card (extra fees apply). Concessions available include Chick-fil-a, pizza, candy, chips, and drinks. If you are wanting to order Chick-fil-a, you need to preorder at the links below:

8.Theme: Remember, our theme for this week is Hawaiian! Please support our swimmers this week by wearing your Hawaiian/Beach wear!

9.Weather: Hopefully the weather will cooperate this week, but they do not have enough indoor shelter down at the pool. In case of inclement weather, families need to wait in their cars. We will be communicating any weather delays/cancellations via the Remind and Swimtopia app, so make sure you have both downloaded and ready to go.

10. Windermere is collecting for the local food needs for children in Forsyth County for Blessings in a Backpack. ASA has challenged teams to show how we give back to the community and we selected a food drive. If you would like to participate, see the below link. Of course it is not required-so no pressure.
