Good evening Lightning families!

I have a couple of announcements for this week, and below the announcements, you will find the information regarding our AWAY meet at Fieldstone.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. We are starting to form our team for the ASA Championship. The ASA Championship is on Friday, June 27 at 9:30 AM at Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. The cost to attend this meet is $50 per swimmer. Please let me know ASAP if your swimmer would like to participate. This is such a fun experience, and we would love to take our whole team. We always want to have enough in each age group to make sure everyone can also swim a relay event. If you already know you are attending, you can pay by check, cash, or Venmo @lflswimteam. Make sure to hand your check or cash to me or another board member.
2. Swimmer of the week: Please return your swimmer of the week sign by Thursday.
3. Don’t forget to order your concessions food. They ONLY do pre-orders for food. Orders are due by Wednesday at 4 PM. See instructions at the bottom of this email.

Now, onto the meet information this week.

***Just a side note about this week’s meet: Fieldstone is the largest summer team in our region. They have a larger 8 lane pool, so we are hoping to be finished at a normal time, but we just want you to be prepared for a longer meet.

1. Address for Fieldstone pool:

3350 Elder Field Lane Cumming, GA 30040

2. Parking: Their clubhouse parking is large, however, any overflow parking should be along Elder Field Lane. Please do NOT park on Pond Gap Lane as it is a cul-de-sac and cars get stuck with a lot of traffic (it is the first street past the parking lot on the right).They try to have a one way traffic flow through the parking lot to help keep all cars on the same path. We encourage carpooling if possible. Their tennis association has asked us to not park in their small lot on the right side of the clubhouse. It should be marked with no parking. There will be tennis matches on Thursday night, so we need to allow them an area to park.

3.Arrival time: Our meet officially starts at 5:30. We are asking all swimmers to arrive by 4:00 at the latest. This will give us enough time to make sure all swimmers are correctly marked with Event, Heat, Lane, Stroke. Our warmup time begins promptly at 4:30.

4.Sparks: Fieldstone also has a minis team that will swim at 5:10, so our Sparks will swim with them. Sparks families, please arrive by 4:50 at the latest for the 5:10 mini-meet.

5.Bullpens: We take pop-up tents for our bullpens at away meets. Please look for your coach when you arrive. Bullpen workers, please arrive no later than 4:00 to help mark arms in your bullpen.

6.Timers: Please listen out for an announcement for a timer meeting once you arrive.

7.Theme: Remember, our theme for this week is Disney! Please support our swimmers this week by wearing your Disney/Star Wars/Avengers gear!

8.Weather: The weather is looking promising for Thursday with a chance of storms. If we do encounter bad weather, they do not have indoor shelter for everyone. In case of severe weather, families can wait in their cars. If we do have a weather delay, the team coaches, reps, and official are the only people allowed in the multi-purpose room next to the pool. We will communicate all weather delays/cancellations through the REMIND app and the Swimtopia app.

9. Concessions: See email below from the Fieldstone concessions manager.

Good evening parents! My name is Allene Bagwell and I am in charge of concessions at Fieldstone. We are excited to host your team on Thursday, June 12th. We have a preorder system for our concessions. We will be using the Shopify pre-order and pay platform for concessions food orders. PLEASE order ahead especially if you want Chick-fil-a.

This system allows us to order the correct amount of food and hopefully provide enough for most people with little waste.

Menu-

Chick-Fil-A Sandwiches and 5 Count nuggets

Village Italian sliced pizzas and whole pizzas

Publix 4 in mini sub sandwich with turkey, ham and cheese (no changes available)

Add a combo( drink and chips)

A few tips-

-The website is set up with Aberdeen meet only at this time. When you click on the link, you will see a blue colored homepage.

1) Click on the three horizontal menu lines in the top left corner. That will lead you to the Orders homepage.

2) Click on the tab- Lake Forest- June 12th

-The link will close on Wednesday the 4th at 4pm. We will have just a small amount of food available for those that did not pre-order. However, that will not be sold until most of the pre-orders are picked up. So, if you do not pre-order food, please be patient and wait till pre orders are picked up, usually around 5:30, and we will announce for all regular food orders to come to the concession stand. We usually have Pizza all meet but the Chick-fil-A always sells out.

- Pre-orders will be available for pickup around 4:30-4:45. That is the time to pick up your food so we can get pre-orders out of the way even if you will eat it later. Our goal is to streamline the pickup order process by checking your name off of an excel spreadsheet printed from Shopify. We should have two people verifying payments and multiple people handing out food tickets and accepting cash and card for drinks and other food items. But, please be patient. We will try to keep the lines moving as fast as possible. There will be people to help you through this process.
