Good evening Lightning families!

I have a couple of announcements for this week, and below the announcements, you will find the information regarding our AWAY meet at Grand Cascades.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. Swimmer of the week: Please return your swimmer of the week sign by Wednesday at the party. We reuse the swimmer of the week signs from year to year. If you won’t be at the party, please return your sign tomorrow at practice.
2. Our end of season party will be Wednesday evening, starting at 6:00. We will have dinner first from one of our sponsors, Pizzeria Azzurri. We will have awards and the always fun, Parent vs. Coaches relay race. If you are interested in participating in the Parent vs. Coaches relay, please let me know!

Now, onto the meet information for tomorrow.

1. Address for Fieldstone pool:

199 Rivergate Dr., Suwanee, GA 30024

2. Parking: Click the link to see visually where they are located in the community: https://gcswim.swimtopia.com/location. Parking is limited; however, our team will have the entire side left of the pool as we drive up to the clubhouse. We will also be using this space for bullpens, so please be cautious as you drive into this lot. They will have parking signs throughout the neighborhood that will let our families know additionally where we can/can't park. I am attaching a diagram as well.

3.Arrival time: Our meet officially starts at 5:30. We are asking all swimmers to arrive by 4:00 at the latest. This will give us enough time to make sure all swimmers are correctly marked with Event, Heat, Lane, Stroke. Our warmup time begins promptly at 4:30.

4.Sparks: Grand Cascades also has a minis team that will swim at 5:10, so our Sparks will swim with them. Sparks families, please arrive by 4:55 at the latest for the 5:10 mini-meet.

5.Bullpens: We take pop-up tents for our bullpens at away meets. Please look for your coach when you arrive. Bullpen workers, please arrive no later than 4:00 to help mark arms in your bullpen.

6.Timers: Please listen out for an announcement for a timer meeting. It should be held at 5:00 PM. They have a Dolphin timing system too, so we should be familiar with it.

7.Theme: Remember, our theme for this week is Jersey/Favorite Team! Please support our swimmers this week by wearing your Favorite Jersey/Favorite Team.

8.Weather: If we do encounter bad weather, they do not have indoor shelter for everyone. In case of severe weather, families can wait in their cars.

9. Concessions: Their concession stand uses Venmo. There will be QR codes near the concession areas. They will not be able to make change. We will have pizza and hot dogs, chips, candy, and drinks. (No, they are not selling chick-fil-a.) The concessions are set up outside on the back side of the clubhouse where there are a handful of picnic tables.

10. Restrooms: Restrooms are on the opposite side of the clubhouse from where our bullpens are located. They are NOT accessible through the clubhouse. They have asked that we advise your swimmers to walk around to the bathrooms - going on the backside will be less congested.
