Believe it or not, we only have 2 weeks left of summer swim! The next 2 weeks are going to be even crazier. See below for upcoming dates.

Before we get to all of our upcoming events/dates, I need to send out some important information about ASA. I put in the last email that our goal is to bring about 120 swimmers to the Championship meet at Georgia Tech on Friday, June 26. We still need several more swimmers to sign up. We try to make sure that all swimmers will have at least 3 events, but ideally, we would like all swimmers to have 4 events at Georgia Tech. For this to happen, we have to have an even number of swimmers in each age group. So I am asking you to please consider going to the Championship meet with us. We are still short in all age groups, but we NEED more swimmers in the following age groups:

• 7&8 girls - need at least 3 more girls
• 7&8 boys - need 4 more boys
• 9&10 girls - need at least 1 more girl, would prefer to have 5 more
• 9&10 boys - need 3 more boys
• 11&12 girls - need 3 more girls
• 11&12 boys - need 3 more boys
• 13&14 girls - need 2 more girls
• 13&14 boys - need 2 more boys

For those of you that have already committed, you can go ahead and pay by credit card through Square at THIS LINK. Cost to compete at this meet is $50 per swimmer. If you pay by card, we do charge $51 per swimmer to cover the cost of the credit card transaction fee. We are also allowing swimmers to choose their events to an extent.  You MUST fill this form out by Wednesday at 8:00 AM, or the coaches will choose events for your swimmer. These cannot be changed once we enter the events. Click HERE to fill out the ASA Championship request form.

If you are 100% sure you are going to attend and want to get a jump start on parking, parking is available for purchase HERE. Make sure you have Day 3 AM session selected. Parking always sells out, so make sure to purchase early.

Now, onto other important information:

1. We earned our first win of the season over Longlake. Our final score was Lake Forest 477, Longlake 309. Way to go Lightning swimmers!

2. Please declare your swimmer ASAP for the last 2 meets. Please make sure to mark whether they are "attending" or "not attending" the last 2 meets. The deadline to declare for next week's meet is Tuesday at noon. The deadline to declare for our last "regular season" meet is Friday (6/19) at noon.

3. Our last spirit night of the year is coming soon. Tuesday, June 16 - we will have our last "Taco Tuesday" spirit night at Palapas. Our last spirit night earned the team $350. We are so thankful for the support of local businesses, like Palapas. So please plan to join us at Palapas next Tuesday.

4. Our next meet is at home against Windermere. More details coming next week. Theme for that meet is Neon.

5. Our last regular meet is Tuesday, June 23 at home against Three Chimneys.

6. Wednesday, June 24 will be our end of season party. Please plan to join us at our end of season pool party from 6-8 pm. More details and RSVP invite coming soon.
